What Data We Collect

When you use Top Trailblazers we collect and store the following information:

• Email address — used for authentication via Firebase and to identify your account.
• Trailhead profile data — your public Trailhead username, name, rank, badge count, points, and trails.
• Completed badges — badge names, types, and completion timestamps.
• Certification data — names and dates of your Salesforce certifications (publicly available on Trailhead).
• Consent record — the date and time you accepted these terms.

Why We Collect It

• To display your Trailhead progress on community leaderboards and your personal profile page.
• To track badge activity during events and Salesforce Saturdays.
• To let you manage your communities and trailblazer profiles.

How Long We Keep It

We retain your data for as long as your account exists on Top Trailblazers. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.

Third Parties

• Google Cloud Platform — hosting and data storage (Datastore).
• Firebase Authentication — handles login via Google or Twitter/X.
• Cloudflare — CDN and badge image storage.

We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not run ads.

Chrome Extension

The Top Trailblazers Chrome Extension syncs your badge data automatically. Additional details:

• Trailhead token (JWT) — read from the page client-side to fetch your badges. Used once during registration to verify your identity via a Trailhead API call. Never stored on our server.
• Extension API key — a random key generated during registration, stored locally in the extension and on our server. Used to authenticate sync requests.
• Sync data — badge names, types, completion dates, certifications, rank, and points. Same data as the bookmarklet push.

The extension only activates on salesforce.com/trailblazer/* pages. You can disconnect at any time via the extension popup, which deletes the locally stored API key.

Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication. Firebase may set additional cookies for login functionality. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

These rights apply regardless of where you live, including under the GDPR (EU/EEA) and CCPA (California).

Children

Top Trailblazers is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us for removal.
